I had scrambled eggs and hot chocolate, both simple but nicely done, then took my hot chocolate along for a walk. That made for a lovely morning. Manana Manana has a relaxed, welcoming team and a warm feel, with quirky decor that gives the place character. It’s only a short walk from the Schelde. There’s a guest house on site as well, though I didn’t stay there.

The host welcomed us and shared local tips as soon as we arrived, and they kept our luggage safe so we could enjoy the last day. The location suited us well for exploring the city’s shops and historic sites. We loved our stay at Mañana Mañana. The rooms were modern, bright and spacious, and breakfast at the cafe downstairs is well worth having.

We’ve just finished our second stay and are already looking forward to coming back. Katrien and Alejandro welcomed us warmly both times, with friendly service and lots of recommendations. The charming rooms are quiet and clean, with comfortable beds and nice showers. There are wonderful restaurants nearby, plus the newly opened park. This visit we also went to the KMSKA Museum, close by. The lovely cafe downstairs is a great place to start the day or take a break.

For a one-night business stay, this was very good value for money, and I slept well in a room that had everything I needed. The welcome was genuinely warm, with a drink in the cafe, and the staff helped carry my suitcase up to the fourth floor. The stairs are steep, as others have said, but I counted them as a free cardio workout. I left early and missed the wonderful breakfast, so I’ll have to return. The neighbourhood felt peaceful and safe, with plenty of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. I highly recommend it.
