B&B De Hoogmolen

Birgit and Jannes were lovely hosts, and the location of B & B De Hoogmolen was just right. In about a 10 minute walk, you're in the town centre among the attractions, canals, and belfry. The town is beautiful and worth visiting, and staying at Hoogmolen is a great way to start the trip. Our room was lovely and very clean, with a view of a little channel behind the house. There's also a little Park for a walk. The ensuite bathroom was spotless and had a lovely big shower. We highly recommend the B&B and will definitely come back.

The apartment is right in the centre of Brugge, just a five minute walk from its heart. The hosts were so friendly and helpful, and the hot chocolate is incredible, you have to try it! Thanks for a wonderful stay. We'll happily come back and stay again :) Rachel and Anna

It's a very nice area, about ten blocks from the train station and a short walk through the park. But I was extremely disappointed with the room. The bathroom was outside it, so every time I needed to use it I had to get dressed and walk out, with other rooms nearby. Although it was private, there was no lock. For three days I kept carrying my things back and forth to get water and leave. I booked the room for the bathtub, but it was dirty and hadn't been cleaned. There was dampness, and showering left the whole floor wet with nothing provided to dry your feet on. The hairdryer barely dried anything. There was no separate soap, just a small bottle of shower gel. The nightstand was still dirty, with water rings from glasses. I told them, but they replied two days later without apologizing. The decor looks chic, but it's all cheap IKEA stuff. On the plus side, there was an electric kettle, Nespresso coffee with capsules, tea, milk, sugar, cutlery, plates, and cups. Just don't expect anything beyond that.

Getting inside took some effort because nobody was there to let us in. We had to email and then got a door code. The room had a TV but no wardrobe. A microwave and minibar for food or drinks were shared in the hallway. Room 2 had its bathroom outside the room, while Room 3's was inside. The rooms were spacious and well located, right across from a canal, with good views and close to the historic center. The bed was great and very large, and the bathroom was large too. Coffee and tea were complimentary.
