We had a very clean, good-value double room in a large home. Ours had two bedrooms, a living room, and a large bathroom, and could accommodate seven people. There was no kitchen, and you need to ask for a kettle. The rooms smelled a little of smoke. It’s a bit of a walk to the canal, but still walkable.

The suite was clean and roomy for us and the kids, with a nice terrace and lovely breakfast. It’s an easy walk to the centre, and the place is family run. We visited during a particularly hot spell, so the loft apartment was very warm, though they did provide fans. One thing to know if you have little ones: the toilet is down some quite steep stairs, which made nighttime trips tricky.

The owners were lovely and very helpful, and breakfast was excellent. We had the spacious, clean suite on the top floor, though the bedrooms could have used a bit more furniture, like a wardrobe. Parking was good value at 7.50 EUR a day. It wasn’t onsite, but only a very short walk away.

I spent three days on the top floor and really enjoyed it. The breakfast, facilities, sauna, and cleanliness made it well worth the price. It’s about a 10-minute walk to the main town, which is handy, and yes, there’s WiFi.

A well-kept, clean little B&B with a comfortable, spacious room and a nice terrace. It’s just outside the city centre, which is still less than a 10-minute walk away.
