Breakfast was good, and the price around Christmas was good too. The day after I booked, the price was higher, so maybe I was lucky. Parking was somewhere else, costs money, and was only available until 13:00. Reception staff didn’t speak Dutch, and even when you spoke Dutch, they answered in Engels. There were no coffee sticks, tea, or water in the room. After a long trip, you’re not ready to head out into the city but want a coffee, and there’s no way to get one.

The B&B is very clean, the staff are friendly, and it’s well placed for walking to all the sights. The downside is the noise: the rooms are close together, so we could hear people coming and going all night and others staying up chatting.

The young staff were warm and friendly, and the room was nice, though it felt a little worn. Breakfast was disappointing, just bread and cereal. Staff also ask what time you want breakfast, which didn’t make much sense. The doors are poor, and you could hear almost everything happening in the hallway.

Check-in was simple, and the receptionist was welcoming and helpful. It’s a lovely little hotel a few minutes’ walk from the town centre. The rooms were nice and clean, and breakfast was plentiful and filling. I’ll use it again.

We could leave our luggage both at check-in and check-out, which was handy. The room was good, with a great shower and bed and a cute view of the street. Breakfast had a good range of breads and pastries, spreads, cheese and meats, vegetables, fruit, and cereal. The woman at reception, who was from Turin, Italy, was so friendly and made us feel welcome. We had a lovely stay while visiting Bruges and would definitely come again.
