The Chocolate Suites

Chocolate Suites was a fun, novel place to stay, and a good base for walking to all the attractions. There’s no service in person, only help by phone if something goes wrong.

The location is great, close to everything, and the room’s cute decor was a nice touch. Four people slept comfortably, and the beds were soft. We also found chocolates waiting on the beds when we arrived. Getting up there is quite a climb on a spiral-like staircase. There is an elevator, but it’s only for luggage, not people. The bathroom looked cute, though the toilet paper holder didn’t work well. A roll fell into the toilet because there’s no latch. The shower was unusual, with nothing to keep overflow water in the shower area, so watch where it goes. The coffee maker still had old coffee in it, and it was really gross, with mold growing. Emails also didn’t get a very quick response, and street parking is very limited.

The self check-in was easy, and the chocolate decor was nice. It’s in a great central spot, close to Bruges’ main sights. Room 4 was dusty and dirty under the beds and around the corners, and the sink drain was clogged. Apart from those issues, it was awesome.

The rooms are small but have what you need, and self check-in and check-out are straightforward. There was a little chocolate gift waiting on the bed, which was a nice touch ❤️ We also liked having Netflix on the TV. A great place to stay in Brugges.
