That garden is so calm and lovely, it could make you want to stay there all day. We would definitely come back. The mansion itself has a peaceful feel, and its slightly worn interior gives it character. One side looks toward a huge park with a triumphal arch and three museums, all an easy walk away. We managed to see all three in two days. On the other side there's a beautiful garden, nice for coffee in the morning or a stroll later on. Breakfast was very good, with omelet, bacon, five kinds of cheese, and plenty for a full meal. In the room we had instant coffee, tea, powdered cream, and a kettle; they left a bottle of water on the first day. There were extra pillows, which was nice, though the pillows provided were much too high for us. There was no iron, slippers, or bathrobe. Oddly, the duvet wasn't inside its cover, so we just laid it on top, like on a sleeper train. On day three, the tea, coffee, and vanity items hadn't been replenished.

We booked this hotel for a group, and our guests were very pleased. The rooms were comfortable, and the food and service were outstanding. Staff did more than expected to keep everything running smoothly. We'd consider it again for future events and would recommend it.

The reception staff were first class, friendly and helpful. They arranged a taxi, kept our suitcase, and shared tips about the neighborhood. Breakfast was good too. The hotel itself feels like a trip back in time: the mattresses sag deeply, as if they're still from the 80s. The water is extremely hard and full of minerals, which might actually be good for your skin.
