The room was comfortable enough, though pretty basic, and its layout was a little odd: the toilet was across the room from the shower. The building has an old charm, but the decor is plain and noise carries easily between rooms. Saturday night was especially loud. Being right by Place Rogier is a real plus, so at a lower price the good and bad might balance out.

The hotel was clean, but our room was so cramped that we had to ask the concierge to fold away a third bed just to make some room to move. We were there for a week and had no wardrobe, so our clothes stayed in our suitcases. There was one tiny shelf by the beds, already taken up by the hotel phone, for two people to share. Water, glasses, medicine, phones, and a book all ended up on the floor. The hotel seems to have seen better days.

The staff and location were both five-star, and the breakfast buffet looked great, though we didn't try it. The room was small, and the bed was awful: two singles pushed together on a slope. I kept feeling as if I might roll out.

Fine for one night, but I wouldn't choose to stay here again. The rooms were clean, though not very nice, and the sink was clogged. The coffee everywhere was decaf. Nothing was terrible by itself, but it all added up. Also, the walk from Brussels Nord isn't very pleasant in the evening.

A good choice for a short visit. The room was clean and fairly spacious, and the staff were friendly and genuinely helpful. Breakfast had enough variety to leave you full.
