The location made everything easy, right in the middle of the city with almost everything within a 15-minute walk. Just be aware that Uber and taxi pickup points are out on the edges of downtown, so it's worth checking the map first. We were six adults visiting from the USA and mostly spoke English. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout. One room had a heater problem, and the front desk switched it quickly and professionally. They also gave us great suggestions for nearby restaurants and attractions. The lobby restaurant was fantastic, with top-notch service. We loved our stay at Hotel Craves and would happily come back.

My plans were badly disrupted and the whole situation caused a lot of needless stress while I was traveling to Brussels. A booking process issue had confirmed my reservation for the wrong date. I contacted both the hotel and support straight away, but got no timely help while already on my way. I understand the booking was marked non-refundable, but I still expected some communication or an effort to sort it out. I hope future travelers get better support when something urgent comes up.

On May 28th, our last morning, I asked for help getting our luggage downstairs. The hotel sent an elderly woman from the kitchen to carry the suitcases down five flights. My husband was horrified and wouldn't let her do it, so he carried everything himself. After repeatedly climbing those stairs while six months pregnant and hauling luggage, I developed severe stomach cramps, and my family feared for my unborn baby's safety. My husband, my elderly mother, who has health issues, and I stayed at Craves Hotel Brussels for two nights starting May 26th. We were given a family room on the fifth floor, but the elevator was broken. The receptionist said it would be fixed within two hours, so we left three suitcases, about 25 kg each, at reception and went out. When we came back late that evening, it was still out. There was no apology, and we were expected to carry everything up five flights ourselves. I asked whether it would be fixed the next day, since otherwise we'd need to change hotels or get a ground-floor room. After another day out, the elevator was still broken. The new receptionist just said, "There is nothing I can do." There was no room change or backup plan, and they had assured us it would be repaired when it wasn't. I felt they showed no duty of care toward a pregnant guest or an older person with health issues. I wouldn't stay here if you have mobility issues, are pregnant, or traveling with elderly relatives. This place felt like a health hazard. Update, 2 June 2026: Management replied publicly to my original review and asked me to email them so they could address it. I sent a detailed message with my reservation details days ago, but got no response. It felt like performative damage control, an attempt to look helpful to future guests while ignoring the physical harm and distress I experienced. I have photos and videos of the broken elevator and the luggage on the stairs. Since they haven't taken responsibility, I have no choice but to pursue legal action over the physical and emotional damage. A lawsuit in Belgium is now being prepared. Don't believe the public concern, this hotel endangers guests and hides behind empty promises.

The bed bug ordeal took over almost our whole vacation. We came on Saturday, April 18 and were due to leave Thursday, April 23, but spent the trip dealing with the problem. We threw away our luggage and clothes, bought new bags, and spent a lot securing the items that might carry bugs home. We later heard the hotel had had a bed bug problem for at least six months. Don't stay at Craves, it isn't worth it. My husband and I booked Craves Hotel Brussels in February 2026 for our anniversary. It looked promising, was centrally located, and the negative reviews we saw seemed to be about personal preferences. We always check for bed bugs before staying at a hotel or BnB, and saw no signs in our first room. We arrived early and were put in a first-floor room, which was about the last good thing that happened. Around 3 or 4am, I saw a bug crawling on a pillow. We identified it as a bed bug, took pictures and went straight to the front desk. They said nothing could be done until the manager arrived at 7am. The hotel was full, and a new room wouldn't be available until 10 or 10:30am. We asked to use the laundry and waited downstairs. We had zipped up all our bags and put them in the bathroom. At 7am, the manager also said there were no rooms yet, but one would be cleaned and ready by 10 or 10:30. At 10:30, we moved to Room 307, put our luggage in the bathroom and checked for bugs again. We found signs on the curtains, sheet, mattress and mattress cover, and even a tiny bug had climbed onto our luggage. We immediately found somewhere else and booked it. Before leaving, we told the manager there was an infestation and showed her the photos from the new room. This happened on Sunday, April 19th. I only just saw Craves Brussels' response and will contact them this evening, Monday, May 25, 2026.

The room felt much smaller than it looked in the pictures, and at over 200 euros, I found the price far too high for what was offered. Cleaning wasn't good enough either: there was hair in several places, an empty wine glass left by the previous guest, and it seemed like the room hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. The TV didn't work. The location was good, staff were generally friendly, breakfast was decent, and the restaurant looked nice.
