Studio in center of Brussels

We were four people there over the May bank holiday weekend. The building is modern and centrally located, but the apartment felt neglected, almost like a storage room. Under the bed there was dust and junk, including garlic, onions, and a suitcase. They'd left just two towels and one toilet roll for all four of us. We asked for more and got them the next day. The toilet looked pretty disgusting, perhaps because the paint was chipped, and the shower made us wish we'd brought flip-flops. The sheets were rough and covered in little bobbles. We couldn't tell whether the sofa cushions were clean. Cleanliness really wasn't their strong point.
