Breakfast with local produce was lovely, and Sophie made us feel very welcome. The rooms have real character and are cleverly laid out, with a comfortable bed and tea and coffee provided. The shower room was lovely too, with shampoo and shower gel. This guesthouse is right in central Brussels, on St Jean Square, close to Grand Place and Brussels Central Station, which worked especially well for the Christmas markets. A great place to stay.

I picked The Happy Guesthouse at the last minute for a fairly spontaneous Brussels trip, and was really glad I did. It’s just a two-minute walk from a train station and close to everything I wanted to visit. The room was spotless and felt new, with lots of thoughtful extras: bottled water in glass bottles, Biscoff cookies, tea and coffee, and lovely toiletries. Breakfast was included and was fabulous. I’ll remember that French toast! Well done, HG Team!

Sophie knows the city and its restaurants inside out, and she’s a terrific host. The breakfasts were delicious, the rooms were good, and the location couldn’t be more central. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

I especially appreciated how warmly we were looked after over breakfast each morning. Our room was lovely, and the 4th floor even has a skylight. HAPPY guesthouse is ideally placed for visitors to Brussels. I really enjoyed our stay and will absolutely come back next time I’m in the city.

The breakfast was fantastic, with fresh bread, a choice of eggs, freshly squeezed orange juice, honey, jams, and homemade chocolate spread that was so, so good. Sophie and her team gave first class service, and Sophie suggested some great restaurants near the guesthouse as well as tootbus, which was a fantastic way to see many of Brussels main attractions. We loved it. The location is close to the main sights, and the accommodation was just right for our three nights. Beds were comfortable and clean, there were tea and coffee facilities, and the shower was great with shower gel provided. Definitely highly recommended!
