The room wasn't equipped for either business travellers or tourists who like to read, despite how nice the online photos look. There was no proper desk, just a small wooden ledge for a laptop, and no outlet nearby to charge it. The room and shower were poorly heated, so with outdoor temperatures around -2C°/+2°C, I had to sleep in my clothes. The shower had no door or barrier, and its floor didn't slope enough to keep water from running into the room unless I used my towel to block it. The showerhead wasn't clean, the drain was full of hair, and the pillows felt cheap.

We arrived to find the bin full of rubbish. The toilet was outside the room, and our room was on the fourth floor, up a narrow staircase with no elevator. A very bad experience.

The room itself was lovely and roomy, with a sink, shower and little kitchenette. It had a fridge, sink and a few dishes, but no stove. I was in room 4 on the top floor. The toilet was across the hall, outside the room, but with only one room on that floor I never had an issue. The property has just four rooms and is less than a 15-minute walk from Brussels' historic center. The immediate area isn't ideal, though we had no problems during our four days. Luggage storage was the weak point: bags can be left in a space in the first-floor wall and secured with chains and small locks, but everything remains exposed. I chose not to leave mine there, though someone else did. Still, I think it's a great Brussels stay option and recommend it.
