The Hive Rooms

The room was clean and fine, but the neighborhood is awful, with lots of beggars. There are no ground-floor rooms, and you have to climb two flights of stairs to the room nearest the outside door. That door locks automatically, and you have to drop your keys through the mail slot when you leave. The clerk isn't on site. If you arrive before the time you emailed, you wait for him to get the email and travel over from half an hour away. Forgot something after leaving? You'll need to email again and wait another half hour. If it was your phone and you have no way to send the email, you're stuck. I'd skip this place.

I booked two nights for October 27-29, 2021, after spending ages searching for a place, only to learn by phone that it had been out of service for over six months. The person at the number (+324 85325551) told me that. How had Expedia, Trivago, and other agencies not been told it wasn't operating? I was stunned, angry, and upset. I had to call Expedia to start a refund, which still hadn't come through, then walk around with heavy luggage looking for another hotel. It was one of the worst days of my life, and I still dread thinking about it. Don't book here and become a victim of their incompetence and scam. Stay aware. Do not book this place.

A lovely touch was the complimentary Belgian Easter chocolate, it was delicious. My room was spacious, spotless, and had a big, bright bathroom. The bathroom was outside my room and shared with one other room, plus there was a separate toilet-only restroom beside it. Finding the Hive may take some effort: look for a small plain door with a tiny 8" x 8" (20x20 cm) sign. There's no elevator, so it won't suit you if you need one or have heavy luggage. The beds were large and comfortable.

The lodging was beautiful and had every luxury I could imagine. I left early and forgot some valuable things, though. When I called, they said I was mistaken. I mentioned the electronic device had GPS, and they told me to stop calling. Goes to show.
