The location was the one real plus. The hostel was only so-so, cleanliness wasn’t great, and the washrooms had poor ventilation. After 11 PM the lounge closes and you’re expected to stay quiet in your room, so there’s nowhere to sit and talk with friends. There’s also no staff or phone contact available after that, leaving you to wait until morning if something goes wrong. Payment caused a lot of trouble too, and the service wasn’t good. I wouldn’t recommend it. I wasn’t on the blacklist, but this hostel is on mine, and I won’t be back.

We had a great stay in a six-bed women’s dorm. It felt a bit cramped with all the bunks, but the balcony view was amazing. The price was affordable, and everything was close by while the street itself stayed fairly quiet. The best part was the shared living and eating area, which was beautifully decorated, along with a very clean kitchen.

The lobby is a masterpiece, and the community space is beautifully designed. Reception service was lovely, and the kitchen is available from 9 to 23.00. I stayed in the six-woman dorm, where the cleaning could be better. Make sure you discuss your check-in and check-out times, since that could cause a problem.

The staff were cool and accommodating, and the quirky design made a strong first impression in the entrance. The rooms didn’t live up to that. In our private room for four, there was barely space for bags or belongings, and the small plastic lockers felt dirty and pointless in a private room. We had to put on the clean sheets ourselves, which was a little odd but fine. That also meant handling the dirty comforters underneath, which felt pretty gross even with fresh covers on them. The walls were thin enough to hear people walking around. If those things don’t bother you, you’ll probably be fine.
