We were left out €260 despite asking for it back repeatedly, even by registered letters to the owner and rental platform. We had to rent another apartment, and later passed by the Zandparel building. The owner also hadn’t mentioned that the apartment is opposite a café terrace, so there could be noise. Just so you know. An hour after we booked, the owner told us the apartment wasn’t on the ground floor as described, but on the second floor with stairs only. We had to cancel because an elderly person with us couldn’t manage the stairs. The owner then offered a ground floor apartment, but it was for 12 people and cost over €600, while our original booking was €260. When we asked again for a refund, the owner refused, saying the booking was “non-refundable.” We wouldn’t have booked if the listing had been accurate and transparent. The owner’s claimed “lost income” was just the one hour the property was off online rental platforms. Avoid at all costs, dishonest!

The apartment is quite spacious. We stayed for two nights, but the price felt a bit high since bedding wasn’t included in the base rate.
