House 22

The rooms themselves are good, but the heat made sleeping very difficult, especially in summer from May to July. I asked management for a cooling fan and they refused. Opening the window wasn't really an option because mosquitoes would come in. The walls don't block sound, so you can hear everything nearby. There's no privacy for conversations either, even people outside on the roadside can hear what you say.

Otherwise, things were okay. I'm writing this on mobile data because the WiFi hardly works, and when it does, it's limited to 10mbit/s.

The location is good, but the room service was poor.

House 22 worked perfectly as a home away from home for our 10 day stay. We had plenty of room, a small kitchen, our own washing machine, and a TV with lots of international channels. The website photos accurately show how the flats are furnished. Since it's a serviced apartment, cleaning is weekly rather than daily, which suited us fine. A hotel room would have felt much more cramped for this length of stay. We were in Kortrijk in March for some of the cycling spring classics and to cycle ourselves, and both the city and House 22 made a great base. It's close to Grote Markt and an easy walk from the train station. The staff at Hotel Messeyne were really helpful, and we enjoyed breakfast there every morning. We had an excellent stay and hope to visit Flanders again. We'd definitely choose House 22 next time.
