Park Hotel Kamchia

There's a pool that works really well for kids, and the location is good. You can drive to the beach easily, or walk there in around 15 minutes. The rooms are fine, average, nothing fancy. The hotel restaurant isn't my favorite, and I feel the same about breakfast.

The staff were friendly, and the younger staff spoke good English. Food at the restaurant was cheap and tasty, and the place was clean enough. The pool was nice, and I could always get a sunbed. The hotel sits in the forest, with a walk to the beach; the nearby beach has lifeguards, bars, and restaurants. On the downside, the interior is dated, breakfast choices are limited, and the coffee was really bad, you could taste that the machine needed cleaning. Parts of the building and rooms are falling apart, and without a shower curtain the bathroom floods when you shower. Some signs and parts of the menu are only in Bulgarian.

Kamchia resort is very quiet, with the forest reaching the sandy beach, and the hotel itself is calm. You can bring a pet from home, but cleanliness wasn't great. The bathroom was okay, while the windows and the area under the bed weren't cleaned well. We had some trouble with towels and sheets, at least during the first and second day of our stay. There weren't any available for the third person. The receptionist wasn't professional, and the room wifi wasn't strong enough. Those things might be manageable, but the price doesn't match the service.

The internet connection was good, and the restaurant was good for dinner, but breakfast had no variety. The apartment advertised for 4 people really only works for 2: the living room couch is bare wood covered with fabric, uncomfortable even to sit on.
