Hotel Jägerhof

We checked in on the evening of Tuesday, 14 October, for just one night with my colleague. There’s parking right out front, and the rooms are spacious and clean. Given the location, it’s excellent value for money, and it truly deserves its four stars. The tastiest mushrooms I’d had in a long time were at breakfast. The young, gorgeous receptionist that afternoon was exceptionally attentive and informative. Couldn’t help thinking, “if only I weren’t married…” ;)

The breakfast was magnificent, and the staff were professional and polite. It’s an extremely clean place, great for both business and leisure.

I stayed at a couple of different hotels in Bulgaria last week and wrote reviews for both. Somehow, my very bad review of the Premiere Hotel in Sofia ended up on Hotel Jagerhof instead. This is my review of the Jagerhof: the hotel and rooms are spotless, beautifully finished, and look brand new, not 11 years old. I gave it four stars rather than five because the blackout curtains didn’t cover the whole window, so I had to improvise. It wasn’t a huge deal. The other disappointment was that all the food we had, at breakfast and through room service, was cold or room temperature. The eggs, sausages, everything that should’ve been hot was cold. Otherwise, we had a lovely stay.

We hosted an event at Hotel Jägerhof, and everything was flawlessly organized. The staff were attentive, and the spot near Plovdiv Plaza is very convenient. The on-site Jägerhof Beerhouse serves delicious Bavarian food and fresh craft beer, definitely worth trying. The hotel also has modern, spacious rooms and outstanding service. A great choice for an event or a stay. Highly recommend!
