It felt luxurious, but cold. Overpriced.

The location worked well for us with a car, and the staff were really nice and helped us find parking. It isn't in the city centre, but the old town is a pleasant 20-25 minute walk away, and the National Palace of Culture is about seven minutes on foot. Our studio was beautiful and well designed, and I wish we'd stayed more than one night. The beds were good, and there was wine and plenty of cool mineral water in the fridge. We also had a coffee and tea maker with supplies, cloth slippers, and a nice, spacious shower. There's a good restaurant, Petros, though we didn't try it. Judging by how many cars were there, it must be great.

After spending hours waiting at the border, we reached the hotel expecting to get some sleep. Instead, they wouldn't let us into the room we'd already paid for because it was late and nobody was available to open it. I told them my wife and young child were with me, but it made no difference. From 2 to 4 AM I searched for somewhere else to stay. We were lucky to have a car and enough money to find another place, though it wasn't easy. What would we have done otherwise? Keep this in mind before booking. This place is terrible.

The restaurants in Lovech are good, and it's a shame they barely have customers on Fridays and Saturdays. I won't go back, though. In my experience, the people's militia issues reports or tickets for no reason if your license plates are different from those of the locals. They had a plan to beat people up, and that's what the militiamen live for.
