Hotel Diter

It might do for a single night, but the interior didn't impress me at all. It smelled dusty, as if it hadn't been cleaned in a while. I booked because Booking.com said parking was available, but there wasn't a secured spot. Instead, there's paid parking around the corner, and hotel guests get only a very small discount. I wouldn't recommend staying here and wouldn't return.

There's no restaurant at the hotel and no minibar in the room, but the price is reasonable. The rooms are neat, and the reception staff are very helpful. It's centrally located, close to public transport, with kiosks, bars, and restaurants all within walking distance. Recommended.

The single room was clean and spacious, and looked even better in person than it did on booking.com. The hotel was quiet and had air conditioning. Staff were friendly and very helpful, including arranging my airport transfer. It's a top location, with everything you need to see in Sofia within walking distance, including a rooftop bar with a panoramic view. The area felt safe, and I felt fine coming back late at night.

The location worked perfectly for us, and both rooms were roomy with nice views on either side of the building. The bathrooms were spotless, and every room had a well-working heater and air conditioner. I also got a work call done thanks to the large desk and good Wi-Fi. There were a few local TV channels, and the front desk staff were helpful and friendly. The shower was a standout, with very hot water and better pressure than I get at home. The only thing I’d change is the duvet. Mine was thin, maybe a summer one, though I could use the heater if I needed to. There’s a small city tax to pay on arrival, about 1% I think. It’s mentioned when booking and seems normal in Europe, so complaints about it don’t seem fair. I’d definitely stay here again.
