For just 30€ a night, I don't have much to complain about. The eighth-floor view is pretty cool, and the small room has what you need. It's a little dated, though, with some damaged things, and the bathroom could use a more thorough clean.

It felt private and safe, with reception open 24/7, and we barely heard anyone else. The night receptionist was kind. The heater worked perfectly and the TV was fine. It's only a few minutes' walk from the center. There were enough hangers, but no table to put our things on, so we had to leave them on the floor. There was no hair dryer or body wash in the bathroom, and the vending machine wasn't working.

The staff were lovely and helped with everything I asked. The price is great for the location, and the rooms are good too. I did spot a few hairs here and there, but for the cost, it’s good value. I’m really happy with my stay.

The location is handy for walking to both the metro and tram. Sofia itself looked rough, with potholes, broken pavements, and lots of abandoned buildings. The room was very small, and not everything was new or in good condition. Some Formica was broken, and the shower head wasn't in good shape, though the TV channels were good. Reception service was almost nonexistent, but being courteous might get you the basic pleasantries. I guess expectations need to be lower because the price is low for sophia.
