For what I paid on hotels dot com, I expected a much better stay at a four-star hotel. The door wouldn't latch unless I locked it, the pillows were tiny and uncomfortable, and the mattress was poorly made. The shower products seemed watered down, there were no tissues in the bathroom, and the old towels had threads hanging from every edge. I could also hear wastewater rushing through pipes from other rooms at all hours. It's hard to put into words how bad that was.

The location made getting around Sofia remarkably easy: the metro, trams, and buses are all close at hand, and the city's historical and cultural sights are a pleasant short walk away. The Rotunda of St. George and the Largo complex are right nearby, and connections to the airport, business district, and surrounding areas were simple. Sofia Palace Balkan Hotel is a landmark in the heart of the city. Inside, it feels opulent, with elegant, spotless rooms that offer a calm retreat from the busy streets. The staff were attentive, professional, and clearly focused on making the stay comfortable. I found it a luxurious experience and an ideal choice for business or leisure if you want high-end accommodation with easy access to the best of Sofia. Highly recommended.

Andrew and Diane gave us a great welcome at reception. They were attentive, helpful, and offered excellent service. The location is convenient, just a short walk from the main attractions and Serdika metro. Breakfast had a good mix of hot and cold choices. Looking forward to coming back.

The bed was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was really good, with tasty local dairy products and aivar. The apartment itself was comfortable too, but it should have been better prepared: the couch hadn't been set up at all.

The hotel was clean and pleasant, and the room had plenty of space and everything you might need. Breakfast was good and plentiful. The only drawback is that there's no car parking on site, though there's one nearby for 10E a day.
