The guesthouse and rooms were clean, and the host was nice. It's a great spot, about a 10-minute walk to the center and the beach. We had a large balcony, and they often changed the towels and restocked the toiletries. The Wi-Fi was a little weak. I'd happily stay here again if I return to Sozopol.

On Friday afternoon, I decided at the last minute to head to the seaside the following morning. I called to book a double room, and Mr. Ivanov said he couldn't reserve it without a deposit. A bank transfer sent Friday afternoon wouldn't reach the account before Monday anyway, but even a carrier pigeon wouldn't have helped me reserve it before arriving in person with cash. He offered a studio at the price of a double room, and said that if we came and it turned out to be occupied, he'd find us a room at another hotel. Fifteen hours later, there was no studio, and he couldn't help us find accommodation elsewhere either. Thanks, Hotel Orhideya2!
