SG Apart Hotel Splendid

We rented a 100-square-meter family apartment for a week in August, for €1,000. It was comfortable and had everything for cooking, dishes, laundry, and storage. The only letdown inside was that the TV only had Bulgarian channels. The supervised pool isn't very big, but it's plenty for cooling off and relaxing in hot weather. The beach is a 5-10 minute walk, depending on which one you choose. There's a supermarket just left of the entrance, and the Primorski Center across the road has several shops. Most guests seemed to be families. It was quiet at night, though music from nearby restaurants could be heard around 11 pm. The residence shares its grounds and pool with the Hotel Romance. It's new and has been kept in pretty good shape so far. We saw the gardener and cleaning staff working every day. Parking was the main problem: the small lot seemed reserved for hotel guests. People park on the very poor sidewalk by the little road to the back gate, where the caretaker has a booth and hands over keys at arrival and collects them at departure. The caretaker said police regularly ticket cars there. We used the paid lot near the beaches, about a 5-minute walk away, for €10 per day.

Our two-room apartment was very spacious, and everything matched the description. The kitchen had everything we needed. The sea is only about a 5-minute walk away, and Lidl and other shops are nearby. The accommodation was perfect for us.

We booked two apartments next to each other, one with a bedroom and one with two. Both were very well equipped and clean. The one-bedroom unit had a huge balcony, a bathroom, and a kitchen with dishes, pans, glasses, an oven, and a capsule coffee machine, plus a washing machine. In the two-bedroom apartment, the kitchen had what we needed too, but there was a microwave instead of an oven. It had a very large living room, spacious bedrooms with smaller balconies, and two bathrooms, one large with a bathtub and one small with a shower. There was also a washing machine. We got the keys from the doorman at the back gate, who was there 24 hours, just as the message had explained. We were pleased with the cleanliness and friendly staff. There's a well-stocked food and drink supermarket just outside the front gate to the left. Cross the road from the complex and the sea is about 200 meters away. You can walk to the aquahouse pool complex in at most 10 minutes, on a lovely path along the seafront. All in all, exceptional. One thing I wasn't as happy with: the two-bedroom apartment had a smaller balcony than I expected. Other units of the same type may have larger ones, since it seems to depend on the bedroom and they're not all alike.

The complex is great, with a very clean pool, shared areas, and rooms. It's just meters from the center of St. Constantine and Helena and the beach.
