The beach felt like paradise, and the hotel's location is the best on the island. Our room was spacious and comfortable, with Frette linens and towels. We came to Bermuda as a family with our neurodivergent son, and from check-in the staff treated us with great respect. They gave us the quiet room I’d requested and checked in each day to see how we were doing. Everyone we dealt with at the front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping was polite and professional. Mano, a waiter, was a special highlight: I asked for chai masala tea made the way it is in India, and he made sure I got the proper tea each morning at breakfast. We felt relaxed, respected, and happy throughout our stay. We highly recommend the hotel for its wonderful staff, and we’ll keep coming back.
The hotel, rooms, and location are beautiful, and all the staff are very nice. But the bar and food service has been painfully slow, even when we're the only customers. There are 14 of us here now, and we all agree, except the kids. That slow service is the one letdown, though I understand it's hard to find staff these days. For outings, St George town is a great walk, with lots of good places for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Be sure to book Achilles Restaurant right next door. It’s amazing.
We loved our three-night stay. The pool and beach have a great atmosphere and spectacular views, and the beds were unbelievably comfortable. Pool staff were friendly and helpful. We visited a little off season, so perhaps that’s why there was always a prime spot by the adults’ pool without rushing down or competing for chairs. I also appreciated that the resort separates the family and adults’ pool areas and enforces the rules. Dinner on the property was enjoyable both times we ate there. I’d read mixed reviews and think this place depends on the kind of trip you want. It’s ideal for relaxing by the pool or beach. If you want to be closer to Hamilton or have lots of dining choices, it may not suit you. The big tub in the middle of the bathroom is unusual, but it didn’t bother us. Poolside lunch is expensive, though food in Bermuda seemed pricey overall, so that didn’t feel unique to the St Regis. We also enjoyed the included coffee and tea each morning, the shuttle to St George, the 6 p.m. prosecco toast, and the activities or classes usually offered in the bar. You need to register the day before. We spent one day in Hamilton and saw most of the island by cab. Our driver pointed things out like a mini tour. The concierge can help arrange a taxi if you're short on time, and taxis were also fairly easy to find at the property. Bring cash, since they don't take cards. I do wish there were a café with good coffee, sandwiches, salads, and light bites. I’d recommend the resort for a relaxing beach and pool trip, and I’d come back.
We spent Christmas in Bermuda for the first time and were so glad we picked the St. Regis. The resort was beautiful, well maintained, and easy to get around. The hospitality stood out most, with every staff member we met being lovely and helpful. Jonathan (Trouble), our bartender in the main lobby bar, went above and beyond and made every visit that week feel special. Five-star service each time. Emma at the front desk was also a huge help throughout our stay. They made our experience so positive, and we can’t wait to return.
This was my second visit to the beautiful island, and the service here didn’t match what I experienced at the other two properties where I’ve stayed. The island’s charm and beauty get lost at this property. If you want an authentic Bermuda experience, I’d stay far away. You’re paying for the name, nothing more.
