St George's Club Hotel

The location is lovely, overlooking St. Georges, and our room was clean, spacious and updated. The St Georges club shuttle is available, but only runs to a few places that are already within walking distance. Amenities are very limited, with not even coffee in the lounge.

We arrived after a hurricane and got a complimentary upgrade to a two-bedroom cottage, which was nice. The staff were friendly and helpful right from the start. The rooms were very clean and had plenty of towels, cookware and other basics. The pools looked nice, though we only used one once. The area is pleasant, with beaches easy to get to. We rented a moped to get around and I’d highly recommend it. There’s a small store and gas station at the bottom of the hill, plus several nearby restaurants. Great experience, and I’d stay again.

The rooms are basic but comfortable, clean and spacious. Still, this feels more like an Airbnb setup than a hotel: there’s no room cleaning or service, food, or even a vending machine. If you arrive late without groceries and want a snack, you’re in trouble. There’s absolutely nothing available for miles, and even the gas stations are closed.

The location was quiet and peaceful, and the walks into St. George to get groceries were interesting, with so much history around. I enjoyed seeing the unfinished church, the perfumery, town hall, quaint alleys and cobblestone streets. Thanks to Dee Dee and St George's Club for a great stay, we’ll be back. Dee Dee was very responsive when I emailed about needing a room that could work for one of my daughters, who unexpectedly needed crutches just before we left. She called right away to check the unit, stairs and what we’d need. When we arrived, she’d picked what she thought would work best, and she was right. She had a golf cart ready to take my daughter to our room. The pool was right outside, so the kids could get there easily. They also called timely taxis for us and provided extra blankets and basic provisions.
