El Museo Hotel Boutique

The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We also had a wonderful breakfast each morning, with lots of tasty choices. The location made it easy to enjoy everything nearby. We had a lovely stay.

We stayed five nights while in La Paz, and the hotel had what we needed. It was quiet and relaxing, tucked into a neighborhood, with clean, reasonably sized rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast was wonderful. We could walk to the local market and several plazas full of restaurants, and it was easy to get a taxi to or from the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful :)

The staff were the highlight for me. They went out of their way to help, from arranging a well-priced taxi to the airport at checkout to letting us dry our soaking shoes by the fire overnight after coming back from death road. When my bus arrived at 6am, they let me check in early and even offered us breakfast and coffee, although check-in wasn't until 1pm. I know that depends on availability, but it was such a kind gesture. They also lent us a gondola pass so we didn't need to buy tickets. The building is lovely, with old museum stuff still intact on the walls. Rooms felt pretty luxurious, and breakfast had something for everyone. Free tea, coffee, coca tea and water were available 24/7. Honestly, they couldn't have done more for us. Best hotel and staff I've had in a looooong time. 10/10, I'd come back to La Paz just to stay here!

The laundry was the letdown. It cost $10, and our clothes came back still dirty. Otherwise, this was a lovely, quiet, clean boutique hotel with nice views of La Paz, helpful staff, good showers, and a varied breakfast each day.
