8/10
We had a peaceful stay by the pool, with lovely views and nature around us. It was quiet, perhaps because we were there off season, and there were only a few guests, mostly adults. The staff were helpful, and even with a language barrier, we both made an effort and got by. Try the restaurant and one of their wines. Just know there's no complimentary water in the room, and wine costs less than water. It's far from everything.

We spent four nights there, from 9-13/12, with my wife and friends. Every evening, huge, noisy dinner parties with hundreds of people took over the public areas, which the hotel turned into a ballroom. Staying guests were left with their rooms and couldn't use the facilities. The staff were very friendly, apart from security, who didn't tell hotel guests apart from party attendees. The gatherings were noisy and smelly, and the whole stay was unpleasant. I wouldn't return.

10/10
The rooms were clean and nice, and everyone was cheerful and willing to help. The cleaning lady was especially lovely and always happy to assist. The service was the best part, 11/10 for the kind, polite staff. I'd definitely stay here again.

The rooms are spacious, and there's a large garden, a pool, and lovely views. It was peaceful, with the Guadalquivir river making a soothing sound. Check-in is at 15:00, though they'll let you in earlier if your room is ready and available. A great stay.

It's about 10-15 minutes from the main square, so ask for a taxi when you head out to the lobby. The hotel has a restaurant, a pool open 9-18, and a spa that only operates from afternoon into early evening. There are two room areas: newer, smaller rooms with elevator access, and an older section where many rooms are reached by stairs. One of Tarija's best hotels.
