Hostal Wilma

The dorm cost me 50bs. Bathrooms were clean and good, though breakfast was minimal, and there was a big backyard where cars and motorcycles could park. There’s no wifi, like in almost the whole town. The main problem was the caraoke bar behind the hostal: loud music went on all day and night, all 24 hours, and only stopped during a town-wide power outage. An average hostel.

The owner was really nice, and he speaks English.

The staff were very helpful. A young man kindly let me use the kitchen to get ice for my sprain, and was understanding about it. The rooms were well kept and the mattresses comfortable. Breakfast is served in a small lobby where you can sit and read, and the Wi-Fi works better there because it’s weak in the rooms. Very pleasant hotel. The downside was the expansion work: noise started around 7 a.m. and carried on until 10 p.m. or even later.

We slept really well on both nights, and the shower was hot. The breakfast was simple but good. We recommend this hotel because it’s comfortable and low-priced.
