The biggest problem was the lack of privacy. Our room had a huge glass door facing the hallway, and the curtain didn’t cover it completely, so lots of light came in. The sound insulation was poor too, and we could hear everything in the neighboring rooms. The bathroom had no place for shampoo or soap because the holder was broken. I stayed with my wife from 11 to 13/01/2026. The inn is very basic and feels like a house adapted for guests, with small things that could be improved. Jessica checked us in but didn’t explain anything about how the inn worked, breakfast, or parking. The parking area doesn’t fit all the cars, and there’s a step in the hallway that everyone trips on. The rooms aren’t numbered, and nobody offered to help with our bags. When I was leaving with my hands full, the receptionist, whose name I don’t know, just watched and didn’t even help open the door, which I could barely manage with all the luggage. They say it’s 300 meters to the basilica, and that’s true as far as the wall. From there, it’s another 700 meters to the entrance, so the total walk is 1 km. We won’t come back, and I can’t recommend it.

For what I paid per night, this was really disappointing. It was clean, but extremely basic, and the room was too cramped and poorly equipped for a longer stay. There was nowhere in the bathroom to put soap, and not even a hook for a hand towel. The entrance gives the impression of a slightly improved tenement. The parking isn’t secure, just a lot where a car washer works, and it can’t fit all the cars. If you arrive later, you have to leave the car on the street. And it’s NOT close to the basilica. You have to walk 1 km to reach the entrance. I didn’t like it and wouldn’t recommend it.

The rooms were clean and the bed and pillows were really comfortable. We had a great stay, with a wonderful reception and excellent breakfast. Well done, we’ll definitely be back.

The service was excellent, and everything was clean and well organized. The price was fair and breakfast was complete. The rooms are a bit small, though, and the shower leaks.
