The rooms were spotless, and the place was quiet. Breakfast had a nice variety and tasted good, and everyone was very friendly. I recommend staying here.

The only thing that went well was being allowed up to my room before 1 pm when I arrived. The inn wasn’t worth what I paid. The walls were dirty, the TV had stains, and the air conditioner was too small for the room and didn’t cool it properly. The shower barely trickled, and neither the room nor bathroom smelled clean when I arrived. Cleaning was poor, and during my three-day stay, my towels were only due to be changed on the day I left. Breakfast was very basic, and the woman replenishing the food kept hovering and trying to take our plates away. When I left, nobody was at reception, so the housekeeper told me to leave the key there. The inn has a decent amount of space, but many things need improvement. The hosts weren’t good, and there isn’t even a sign out front. I only found it by the street number. I love Arraial, but I wouldn’t come back to this inn or recommend it.

We stayed as a couple from December 27 to 31. Our room was on the top floor, reached only by somewhat narrow stairs, which were a bit difficult to manage. There were three beds, two singles and one double that was actually two single beds pushed together, plus a bathroom. The mattresses were springy and much too soft for us to sleep comfortably. The staff were always attentive, especially Renato, who welcomed us and suggested a boat trip. Breakfast was standard, with juices, milk, coffee, ham, cheese, bread, fruit, and cake. The hotel is near Praia dos Anjos, and if you have the energy, you can get to almost everything on foot. There’s no hotel parking, so we parked on the street and nearly got a ticket after trusting a parking attendant who pointed us to a prohibited spot. The owner said he’d help us get the notice withdrawn through the city government. It’s good value for younger guests, but the things I mentioned may make it less comfortable for couples and older people.

Cleide gave us such a warm welcome that we felt right at home, and the rest of the team were lovely too. The rooms were really clean and smelled fresh. Since we’d already been traveling for a few days, that kind of welcome meant a lot. The owner let us stay past check-out and gave everyone a good discount. The hotel is also really nice, with a barbecue area, microwave, and sink, and the downstairs suites have an outdoor area with a shower. I’d definitely come back. One thing to improve is the blankets, which looked old and smelled like they’d been stored away. Breakfast could use some attention too: there was plenty of variety and lots of fruit, but not much bread or cake, which is what I expect at a hotel breakfast.
