Casa Acquamarina

The breakfast alone was stunning: homemade bread, delicious cakes, local fruit jams, and the best tortillas I’ve had in ages. Peter was a wonderful host, attentive to the little details, and even helped us with some logistics, which made a big difference. Staying there felt like being at a friend’s place. The garden, designed by the owners Peter and Dao, is beautiful and wraps around the property. The rooms are simple but very comfortable, and make it easy to immerse yourself in Atins. There’s no hot water or air conditioning, so you feel more connected to the environment. Breakfast is unlike anywhere else, with Peter preparing something new and delicious each morning. They also arranged transfers and tours and shared beach and restaurant recommendations. Trading away a few comforts got us what felt like the most authentic experience in Atins.

The place felt welcoming from the moment I walked through the gate. The exterior is beautiful and immediately put me at ease, and the rooms are simply great. Peter is fun and genuinely good-hearted. This is the only place you should stay in Atins.

Great atmosphere, a beautiful garden, and really nice rooms. Everything was sparkling clean, with no cockroaches. The owner was helpful and great company, and made the best breakfast in town, with a mix of Brazilian and European food.
