We left a gold necklace in the room, and the hosts kindly kept it safe for us. They were so lovely and laid-back throughout our stay. That was a really kind thing to do. Thanks, guys!

A lovely place where you feel at home.

Sr Patrick was welcoming and friendly, but the pousada fell short on cleanliness and organization. The upstairs room was dark, dusty, and dirty, with no windows, just an opening for the air conditioner. I had to kill a cockroach there, and the bathroom was awkward. Breakfast was very basic. The fruit was left at room temperature, so in Belém’s heat it was lukewarm. There’s also a dog that can roam through the shared areas, including the kitchen, which won’t suit people who aren’t fond of animals. The common area was dark and disorganized too. I think this may once have been a better pousada, but the for-sale sign makes it seem like the owner is tired and no longer cares about the quality of service as before. I don’t recommend it. I left before my reservation ended and found another hotel for a very similar price.

The owner was warm and friendly, and the place had the welcoming feel of staying at a friend’s home in Belém. The location is excellent, near praça da republica, Teatro da paz, ver-o-peso, estação das docas, shopping Boulevard, the city’s commercial center, and Bar meu Garoto. A very pleasant, cozy space.
