The rooms were very comfortable, and the service made us feel like family. We cooked there, and on the day we arrived a toucan came to visit. We also saw their nearby property and went tubing on the river there. Ademar, the host, knows an incredible amount about history and took us on an amazing private outing that gave us some beautiful photos. His helpers became good friends too. Osmar especially stood out. He’s as well known in town as Ademar, took us to the corn festival, and introduced us to almost the whole town. There was lots of dancing, great food, even a whole ox roasted on a spit, and plenty of beers. After the festival we sat around philosophizing until very late. We had such a good time, and this trip will stay with us. We’ll definitely return. The place has a real, unpretentious simplicity that draws people in. Ademar’s daughter runs a travel agency right at the pousada and can point you to the best places to visit in Nobres, with tours at accessible prices.

The rooms are simple but really good, with WI-FI, clean suites, nice bedding, TV, and air conditioning. Breakfast is served from 7 to 9, with freshly baked cake, pão de queijo, cold cuts, bread, and juice. The pousada is in the quiet Vila Roda D'Água, near Aquário Encantado and Reino Encantado, though you get there by dirt road. It’s also roughly equally far from the main attractions. They run a travel agency too, and their property is 5km away. You can go boiacross there, relax, or have delicious homemade food cooked in a wood-fired oven for R$ 25 per person. Across the road there’s a snack bar with pastel for R$ 5, a huge sandwich for R$ 12, or pizza for R$ 40. The price is friendly, and the service is lovely. Seu Ademar and the others treat you like family, so it feels like spending a holiday at a relative’s house. I recommend it.

I found the pousada through Hotel Hurbano. It’s a simple place, but very cozy, with a great breakfast and spotless, freshly sanitized bedding and towels. The people were warm and welcoming. I loved it and recommend staying here.
