Sandra is an incredibly welcoming and kind host. It’s a really nice place to stay and excellent value for money. The beach is about a ten-minute walk away, past lots of nice shops and restaurants. If you want somewhere pleasant that won't break the bank, this is a good option.

A cozy place that's easy to reach, like almost everything in Morro de São Paulo, though this pousada is up high. Bars, convenience stores, pharmacies, a pizzeria, and more are all less than 200 meters away. The accommodation is simple, but it serves its purpose well. Nobody comes to Morro just to stay in their room, and Dona Sandra was very attentive. The rooms are basic but spotless. The shared bathrooms do the job, and breakfast is simple but prepared hygienically. I'd definitely return if I were looking for good value.

Hostel Macondo was one of the best experiences of my life. Sandra, the owner, was so friendly, kind, and hospitable. I felt right at home. I'll miss her, Alessandra, Aline, Paco, and Alecio, the people I got to spend these days with.
