Reserva Renascer

The highlight for me was the hike to Cachoeira Ponte de Pedra, one of the most incredible experiences I’ve had. It’s a moderate trail with a good amount of challenge and an amazing connection with nature. The waterfall at the end feels like paradise, and the lookout has a breathtaking view. I went to Reserva Renascer in Chapada dos Veadeiros with my sister, two cousins and two friends, and came away feeling completely re-energized. The place has a wonderfully welcoming feel, with clean, organized rooms, a comfortable setting and a well-equipped hostel-style kitchen that you can use freely. The hosts were welcoming, too, and that warm atmosphere made the stay feel special. I’d especially recommend it for a group of friends or family, where there’s plenty of fun to be had. I can imagine it making a lovely trip for two as well.

The trail was wonderful, and everyone was so kind and attentive. What an incredible place!

The nature here is hard to match, and the road is in good shape. It’s also very close to town, which makes it a lovely spot to visit with family. The stone bridge is inside the grounds, and it’s one of Chapada’s most impressive waterfalls. Definitely worth seeing!

We spent Carnival at the reserve, and the cozy lodging plus the sounds of nature made it easy to forget every problem. Poço Xamânico is deeply restorative, while Ponte de Pedra is quite an adventure if that’s your thing. I’ll be back as soon as I get some free time away from the big city!
