Sette Mares

The room wasn't ready when we arrived, so we lost the afternoon waiting. When we left, they weren't as patient with us and knocked on the door for us to get out. There were even cockroaches on the bed. The place looked abandoned as soon as we got to the pousada, with no maintenance. The passage between the rooms, pool and restaurant, which is also where breakfast is served, had an open pit full of flies. We saw calunga nearby at night. The TV never gets a signal, and you'd need courage to use the pool. There's a shop at the entrance, but I never saw it open. Getting help from staff was awful, and I only got the Wi-Fi on our last night. After all this, you'd have to be brave to stay here.

Breakfast was complete on the last two days, but it was very uneven before that. On the first morning, everything was missing; the guy said he'd restock and then disappeared without bringing anything. The next day there was no jam, cheese, ham or cheese bread either. Nobody stays at the pousada at night, and when we got back around 7 pm, the room attendant had forgotten to replace the towels. We couldn't find anyone to help, and the owner didn't answer the phone. I found an open cupboard and took towels, but it was such a mess that I couldn't tell if they were clean or dirty. I had to smell them to check. The service areas are really filthy. The places guests walk through look clean, but going into the back service area was horrifying.

I went to Sete Mares in Vila dos Remédios and Quequeu looked after me really well. I wanted pizza, so he suggested ordering delivery from their other location. It arrived super fast, still hot, with good ingredients and a light, tasty crust. Such a good pizza! They're doing a great job, and this is my pizza choice in Noronha.

For Noronha, the price is fair. The buffet has fresh, tasty food and is good, though it could offer a bit more variety. Still, it's satisfying.
