Pousada Vivere la vita

Everything was great apart from the WhatsApp service. Replies took a long time, and when I asked the day before whether I could check in after midnight, they only got back to me when I was practically already there. The room and towels were clean when I arrived, and it’s good value, though a little far from the beach, nothing too bad. The receptionist on the morning shift was a sweetheart. I had a nice stay overall.

We were two couples, and the place we were moved to was pleasant, but quite different from what we had booked at Vivere la Vita. There wasn’t a room with a double bed, and the bathrooms were outside the rooms. We were very unhappy with how this was handled and hope other customers aren’t treated the same way. We booked through Booking on June 13 for September 23 and 24, well in advance. On August 11, after we contacted them on WhatsApp, we were told that 50% had to be paid to hold the reservation, so we paid. Luana, a staff member, confirmed by WhatsApp that everything was set. Then on September 20, Booking emailed to say our reservation had been cancelled because the 50% hadn’t been paid. Luana told us there had been an error on Booking, that the reservation really was cancelled, and other guests had already booked those dates. With only three days before our trip, she offered either a refund or to try to move us to another property they operated. We accepted because it was so late to find somewhere else. We arrived today at pousada Lampião e Maria Bonita.

The location was the only thing I liked. The pousada isn’t modern, and there wasn’t even water available for a glass. We arrived around 2 p.m. thirsty and hungry, and when I asked, the staff member gave us warm water in the Northeastern heat. There was nowhere to hang underwear, and the minibar looked like it was from the 1980s and barely worked. On check-in day, I still owed part of the amount because I’d paid in five installments. The attendant wouldn’t hand over the key until I made a Pix payment in front of her, even though my husband, granddaughter, niece, and I were tired. I really don’t recommend it.

This is about the employee who dealt with me, not the pousada itself. I couldn’t find their contact here, so I searched Google. I called twice and they hung up on me. Then I left my contact here so they could reach me on WhatsApp. A woman called Luana messaged me, and that poor service and her greed cost them a guest who would have stayed more than 10 days. She also lost them a rating. The screenshots show what happened. If this is how they treat someone trying to book, imagine how they treat guests who are already staying there. I’m out.
