Huana hotel

I stayed four days. The reception staff were helpful and attentive, and the beds were comfortable. The room cleaning was disappointing, though: the floor felt dirty on our feet, even though the sheets were spotless, white, and soft. The breakfast was simple and tasty, but they showed four fruit options in the photos and served just two kinds, the same ones every day. Drinks could use more ice, and when the food trays ran empty the kitchen attendant was slow to refill them and seemed reluctant when we asked. The room window was very hard to open. The old air conditioner cooled well but was noisy, and the minibar worked, though the shelf above it was falling apart, with the wood crumbling. With small kids, the bathroom was especially frustrating: cramped enough that we kept bumping into the walls, faucet, and glass shower door while bathing them. The shower sprayed straight at the wall, so we had to fight for room to shower, and even on the lowest setting the water was too hot. We ended up using the cold setting. It’s easy to see why the hotel doesn’t show bathroom photos. We only stayed in the room at night, but I’ll keep all of this in mind when choosing a place next time.

It’s an older hotel, but the rooms are spacious, the bed is comfortable, the shower is good, and the location is handy. Good value for money. The one drawback is the old air conditioner, which is very noisy.

We were pressured into paying an unreasonable amount after the hotel and the booking platform disagreed about the price. When we questioned the difference, the owners held our car inside the parking lot until we paid it. A real disgrace. The hotel is old and poorly maintained, and the nightly rate is extremely high for what you get. The air conditioner is dated and the beds are uncomfortable. No value for money at all.

The hotel was clean, but that doesn’t make up for everything else. The shower only dribbled, and I had to press myself against the tiles to get the drops to land on me. I couldn’t watch the TV, and after I complained, nothing was done. A real shame.
