Encanto Paraty Beach sits right on Pontal Beach, and it’s an easy walk to Paraty’s old town. The staff are welcoming, and the rooms are spacious. Ours felt cozy, with a balcony over the beach where you can hear the sea and feel the breeze. Breakfast is served on the sand. There’s plenty of local life around: BBQ smells in the morning, dogs barking in the distance, and samba at night under the kiosk below the balcony. It’s peaceful, but not so quiet that there’s nothing going on. A lovely mix of beach time and local atmosphere, with everything you need within walking distance.

We spent three nights at this pousada and had a really nice stay. The staff were pleasant and gave us a few tips for visiting Paraty. The location worked well too, about an eight-minute walk from the old town.

We loved the whole stay. The staff welcomed us warmly, and Marcelo was an especially great host, polite and thoughtful, with plenty of suggestions for things to do. Such lovely days at a charming, cozy pousada with 10/10 service!
