The staff were pleasant and the location is good, but that doesn't make up for what you might hear from the owner. I had the worst experience and wouldn't recommend this pousada to anyone, especially anyone from the Northeast. The owner was intrusive, stingy, prejudiced, and xenophobic. Among other things, she told me I couldn't be from Bahia because I'm white and there are no people my color in Bahia. She was rude, ill-mannered, grumpy, and nosy. I've never had an experience this bad, and I hope I never cross paths with someone so unpleasant again.

The staff were good, and the location is nice, but I wouldn't recommend staying here. Everything feels very old, and breakfast has few choices. The owner was especially rude and treated us so badly that we felt unwelcome. Margarida was also intrusive, asking why my husband and I were going to pay for an Uber instead of taking the bus around the city.
