The location is good, and the outdoor area has a nice feel. The inn itself is very simple, with basic rooms. I stayed there twice. On my first visit the shower didn’t have warm water, but it worked normally in the second room. It was hot, so I didn’t mind much. The owner was attentive and gave good service. The breakfast was quite simple with little variety, and the woman preparing it barely answered questions and seemed unhappy at work. Both rooms had TVs with an image problem, a differently colored stripe across the screen. The mattresses are firm, but there’s another mattress on top that makes the bed softer. You can remove it if you prefer a harder bed.

We could cook as much as we liked, use the pool, and have a barbecue. On New Year’s Eve we cooked and had dinner with the owner, and shared a beer too. It was really fun. Lu also makes a suuuper delicious breakfast, and her scrambled eggs are the best. I loved the inn! I went over the 2017-2018 New Year. The owner is a lively gaucho who found us a little room at short notice after we called. He welcomed us warmly and showed us around the whole place, then got us a better room the next day. The inn was brand new, with new furniture, though a lot of things were still missing because he’d only just bought it.

I stayed for four days this time and loved the experience. It’s a wonderful inn for anyone who enjoys traveling with a backpack and a bit of adventure. The location is excellent, in one of Salvador’s most beautiful and well-kept areas. Mr. Luís and his team were terrific: friendly, attentive, and professional. I highly recommend it and will choose it again whenever I’m back in Salvador, alone or with someone.
