Our first stay here was great, but the final night of our Bhutan trip was extremely disappointing. We'd told the receptionist the night before that we had an early flight and needed to leave very early. They said it would be fine and promised to pack our breakfast, which we'd paid for. In the morning, both the entrance and exit were locked. The receptionist who was meant to help was passed out on the lobby sofa and appeared drunk. Another guest had been trying to wake him for around 15 minutes, with no luck. The three of us tried too, then searched for another exit and fortunately found a back door. We missed the breakfast we had paid for and were at risk of missing our flight because the staff member on duty was intoxicated and couldn't help. It was extremely irresponsible and concerning, and not what you'd expect from a hotel responsible for guest safety and service.

We stayed twice, entering and leaving Bhutan from India, and it was great value for money. The rooms are massive, with large windows and good ventilation. The rooftop restaurant is a nice plus, and they serve a generous spread of Indian-style food for the prices. The location is handy too: it's in the market area, only about a 200 m walk from the immigration office, so you don't need a cab for immigration. You can also buy local Bhutanese handmade items here for less than at the tourist stops further ahead. The building is old, though, and there aren't enough switches by the beds for charging phones and laptops.

Everything was neat and tidy, and both the desk staff and room service were humble. The price seemed a little high, but the stay was worth it. They accepted Indian and Bhutanese currency, and all UPI payments too. Love Bhutan and Bhutanese. If you're staying in Phuntsholing, this hotel is definitely a good option. Indian hotel owners could learn something from them, not trying to offend anyone.

The food was good, with Indian dishes on offer. Don't expect gourmet, but the taste was nice. The rooms were about what you'd expect from a three-star hotel, and the location was the most convenient part.

Worst experience. The dining area is on the 3rd floor, while our room was on the 2nd. After dinner, we couldn't sleep until the cleaning and rearranging was done because the noise was so loud. The bed was tiny, maybe 4'x5', and wouldn't fit two people. I asked for an extra blanket, but after 45 minutes and three calls to the desk, they brought a used, torn one. I think they have a water filter plant, but they do serve water in the rooms.
