We stayed for two days. It’s a little outside the city center, which makes for a quiet stay, and the room and amenities were generally satisfactory. The staff were excellent, and we really liked the food. Hot water was a recurring problem in the bathroom, though the manager eventually moved us to another room. The room heater could use an improvement too.

The team made the stay feel special with warm, attentive hospitality. The facilities were comfortable, well kept, and thoughtfully set up, and the care showed in the details. I had a wonderful time at Hotel Drukyl Thimphu and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Thimphu.

Rats got into my room and ruined my new bag, socks, and some clothes. There was no hot water, and the heater didn’t work either. The owner first said I’d be compensated with money or a replacement bag. I chose a new bag, but after that they stopped replying completely. One of the worst hotels I’ve stayed in. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

The food was decent, but the heater and hot water were the main issues. We had no hot water for two days, and the WiFi was slow.
