We stayed six nights on our Bhutan tour, and this was one of the best hotels of the trip. From arrival through checkout, we were very well looked after, and all the amenities were available and in good order. I’d advise anyone to stay here.

The spa session at Norbu Healing Center, Thimphu was decent, but I found the restaurant experience disappointing and unfair. The food was very expensive and tasted nowhere near good enough for the price. It also seemed to me that Indian tourists were being charged extra, which I consider unethical. They added Bhutan Tax (20%) and Service Tax (20%) without giving a proper bill, just writing the amounts on a piece of paper. I was told a water bottle cost ₹25, but the bill listed it at ₹90 plus taxes, again without a proper invoice. I felt the place takes advantage of tourists through unclear overcharging and serves substandard food. I don’t recommend eating there. The spa may be okay, but I’d avoid the restaurant.

The rooms are small, simple, and cozy, and the hotel is right inside Thimpu. We stayed two days, and the service was exceptional. They took great care with our vegetarian food needs. There’s also an in-house massage service.
