Yangkhil Resort

The fish ponds were a nice touch, and we ate very well. This ended up being my favorite hotel of the week I spent traveling around Bhutan. The staff helping at meals and check-in were lovely. Our room was spacious, with a big bathroom, a little terrace and chairs, and a great view of the fortress. Having a bathtub was lovely after a cold evening, though the hot water ran out before it was full. That's the one thing I'd improve.

I wish we'd booked two nights. The deluxe room had an amazing view, and every dish came out on hot plates. The food was excellent, too. This was one of the most professional hotels and teams we encountered during our travels in Bhutan. If you're nearby, visit the museum.

I spent two nights here, and being able to take long walks from the property brought back childhood memories. The place is beautiful, with a stunning view that made almost everything else feel secondary. It was nearly a spiritual experience. The service was good, and staff made sure my requests were met. I liked the Indian dinner menu, though breakfast tasted a little bland.

We had a lovely stay, with great views, friendly staff, and delicious food. The WiFi was good, too. I'd definitely recommend it.
