Babylon Beach

The power failed completely on the first day, with no warning or backup plan. We couldn’t shower or cook, and without AC the room turned into an oven. Our food spoiled too, so watching groceries go bad in the heat and dark wasn’t much of a vacation. Electricity is a basic necessity, and it’s unbelievable that a hotel couldn’t keep it running. And the “beach” wasn’t there at all. I don’t understand how an island could have no beaches for 45 minutes. It was like being promised a birthday cake and handed a picture of one instead. I wouldn’t recommend this place. If you enjoy heat, darkness, spoiled food, and shattered...

The view and location were nice, but the mouse infestation was severe. At night, we could hear and see mice roaming around, and it kept us from sleeping. They use cruel glue traps, so we could hear the mice struggling to get free. Cleanliness was extremely poor: mouse droppings, dirty hairy rugs, and dirty floors. We told management, who offered us another room that looked just as unpleasant, so we figured it would have the same problem. They offered a small discount and cleaned again, but after that second cleaning we still found food wrappers and stains on the concrete floors. It’s an extremely expensive place for the level of care, even with the discount.

The dock faces east, so we highly recommend going out there to watch the sunrise. They also arranged snorkeling trips and pickup and drop-off right at the dock. The location is wonderful, close to everything, and the property has the pool, lounge area, dock, and shade. Nearby places have some of those features, but not all of them. It was the perfect size for our family of six and had everything we were looking for. Very highly recommended!

We had a wonderful four-night stay with our family of four, staying in a few different rooms at Babylon Beach. The location is great, and the rooms were clean and spacious, just what we needed in San Pedro. If you’re choosing, Suite 1 is the best!
