The Bailey House has a rich history and sits in the heart of Annapolis Royal. Staying there feels like stepping back in time, while still having a great mattress and modern conveniences. Rod is an easy person to talk with, knows the town and its history, and can answer any question. He's passionate about filling the house with real antiques and does everything he can to make guests comfortable. His breakfast is wonderful. Parking is right outside the front door, with an amazing view of the river. For a quiet, authentic stay in Annapolis Royal, you can't go wrong with the Bailey House.

Breakfast was fresh and delicious each morning, and a private waterfront spot with Adirondack chairs was perfect for a lazy afternoon picnic. The location made it easy to walk everywhere. The Bailey Hoise was spotless, with thoughtful touches from the fresh flowers at breakfast to plush bathrobes and high-quality amenities. Rod was warm and welcoming without hovering, and you can tell he takes pride in his home.

The new owners were welcoming and helpful, and we'd happily stay again. We loved the spacious, spotless rooms filled with antiques and the wonderful river views. There was a lovely place to sit along the banks. Breakfast was beautifully presented and delicious, and the cappuccino was a nice extra.

Breakfast was a special effort rather than the usual, and the croissants were the best I've ever had. We left satisfied, after Suzanne, the owner, gave us a warm farewell. The Bailey House is a splendid old building from 1770, and the owner has done a superb job decorating and furnishing the rooms.

We visit Annapolis Royal every year and were excited to finally stay in one of our favourite houses. The new owners were accommodating with our same-day booking and dietary requests. They've added modern amenities while keeping the character of this beautiful home.
