Lynwood Inn

We had excellent food on the porch for breakfast, with wonderful service. The staff were super friendly, and the rooms were very comfortable. Lynwood Inn is within walking distance of the Baddeck Lobster Supper restaurant, and we could walk around pretty much the whole town to see the sights. You can’t go wrong with this inn.

We were very happy with our two-night stay. The room was large and really clean, and it was nice to have a balcony for morning coffee. The location was great for Cabot Trail, and the service was great too. Our only complaint was the hard bed, which wasn’t the most comfortable. The restaurant food and service were both great. There was entertainment on both nights, so after a long day we didn’t have to look for somewhere to eat. We dined there both nights, enjoying the live music and sitting outside.

Meals at The Lynwood Restaurant are always a treat. The dishes are consistently excellent and carefully presented. I especially like the perfectly cooked medallions and fresh spinach salad. On an earlier visit, I had the salmon and loved it. More recently, the western sandwich with poutine was delicious and prepared just right. Chef April deserves a big thanks for the memorable food. The whole experience at The Lynwood is top-notch.

For $225 a night, I expected the room to match the price. The bedspread and towels were stained, and the place badly needs updating. The shower drain barely worked, so I was standing in 15 cm of soapy water by the time I finished. There aren’t any smart TVs in the building. I wasn’t there to watch TV, but the Jays were in the playoffs.
