The location was excellent and the rooms were clean and tidy, but the noise from other guests ruined the stay. For the first four nights, kids ran through the halls playing ice hockey, and their parents seemed to have no control or concern about their teenagers' behavior. Staff didn't address it, saying it was before 11pm. After a week, loud and rude guests next door woke us at 3am, apparently drunk. I was very disappointed by the Canadian locals who showed no respect for others.

The beds were very comfortable and the hotel was close to all the shops, but otherwise we were very disappointed. We travel to Banff every year and try different hotels, and we definitely won't return here. The first time we used the microwave, it tripped the breaker for the whole room, leaving all appliances and outlets unusable until someone reset it. The underground parking door worked only about half the time, so we kept having to reverse up the tiny driveway. The ice machine on our second floor wasn't there, and the one we found on the main floor didn't work. Only at checkout did we learn there was another on the third floor. The hot tub, a tiny six-seater that comfortably fit about four, was meant to open at nine but didn't, so we had to call the front desk to get someone to open it. At checkout, the front desk person seemed not to care about our concerns and made excuses. Coffee at the restaurant in the sister lobby cost $5, with no complimentary coffee for hotel guests. I leave the room at 6am and sit in the lobby so I don't wake my friend, and I like having a coffee while watching the sunrise.

Downtown is easy to get around on foot, and the rooms are good, clean, and quiet. Parking a pickup truck is a challenge, but don't let that put you off.

In winter, the room was uncomfortably cold because the heating basically didn't work. The bathroom was tiny, with hardly any room to move. Parking underground was disappointing too, with very few spaces and no elevator access, which made luggage difficult to move.
