Tunnel Mountain Resort

The resort was quiet, a good choice if you want to avoid the noise of Banff’s main street. You’ll need a car for most activities, though there’s a shuttle and bus stop right outside, which is convenient. I stayed in a modern one-bedroom loft and had a very good experience overall. The beds were comfortable, and they thoughtfully left pet treats, a toy, a bed, and metal food containers. We had a cat, not a dog, so we didn’t use the items, but it was a nice touch and showed they welcome pets. My only complaint was finding candy wrappers behind the bedroom door, so the room hadn’t been cleaned thoroughly.

The mountain view from our balcony was amazing, and everything else about the stay was wonderful. We were glad the hotel could accommodate our requests. In winter, the kitchen and fireplace were essential, and the housekeeping team did an excellent job keeping the room clean. The front desk staff, especially Hannah, were polite and helpful. I’d happily stay again and recommend the place. For future improvements, a winter hot tub and a steam room would be nice additions.

We stayed in the two-room Loft suite and had everything we needed to cook supper and stay in. It was cozy, with a fireplace, comfortable beds, and plenty of pillows. The pool was nice for enjoying with my kids, and free transit rides and firewood were included. Great value for the money, and I’d definitely stay again.

The front desk staff are amazing: quick, polite, friendly, and really helpful. This was our first stay, but it won’t be the last. We’re in a king suite with a small kitchenette, which is enough for us. The room is a good size, the heater works well, and the mountain views from the balcony are first-rate. The express bus stops right outside the hotel, and passes came with the room.
